4th of July weekend mixes for download

7 Jul

This last 4th of July weekend, I was back on the air with JAM’N 94.5 in Boston.  Shout out to the homie DJ Pup Dawg for putting me on.  Radio format isn’t really my forte, but I think I made it work.  If you missed it, here it is for download.

4th of July Jam on JAM’N 94.5 – DJ SHAKEE set 1

4th of July Jam on JAM’N 94.5 – DJ SHAKEE set 2

I guess I’m a dork, cause I still get pretty geeked when I think about some of these things I get to DJ.  I was kinda geeked to see my name on the web player, and the I Heard Radio App on the iPhone.

View at Erwin

I’ve mentioned it plenty of times… High Lounge on the rooftop of Hotel Erwin in Venice Beach, CA. I get to play an eclectic blend of music.  Everything from Hiphop, R&B, Old School, Soul, Rock, Classic Rock, Dance, Electro, Reggae, Salsa, Samba, Bossa Nova, Jazz, and even a sprinkle of Radio/Top 40.  I’ll be there Saturdays, sometime between 3pm and 11pm.  This weekend, I’ll be there from 3-7pm.  Again, at the bottom of the post there’s some mixes you can download.  It was recorded live from here a few weeks ago.

Also later this weekend, tune into JAM’N 94.5.  Soon as I have an exact time, I’ll let you all know.  Shout out once again to the homie Pup Dawg for putting me on.

and now… the reason you clicked on this to begin with… Free Music.  It was recorded live from Hotel Erwin on the 19th.  One of the days where we couldn’t use the monitor, so this is all “in the headphones” mixing.  I broke it down by the hour, so if you load it into your iTunes or iPod, and set your gaps to 0, it should play seamless.  Had to throw in a bunch of random drops, cause I can’t give you 4 hours of music and not tell you who put it together.  Enough reading for you?  Fine… go ahead and download here:
