Not that Mos Def needs any sort of validation on his place in music, but when a Legend like Carlos Santana decides to cover one of your songs, it definitely says something. Check it:

The original version of Sara Smile by Hall & Oates is an amazing song, PERIOD. Now, when it comes to live covers, this Brian McKnight version that I came across on YouTube gives it a good run for its money.
Here’s Hall & Oates doing their own song, but I think I’d rather listen to the recorded album version.

Just running through some old music, so I thought I’d trow this up. Came across the director’s youtube page. A popular sentiment when ever this some comes up is: “damn this song brings me back!!”

My co worker Mauricio showed me this. I ended up watching some of their other videos. Pretty funny stuff.

We’re all pretty proud of this one! I met Chief and Vise Versa years ago from the homie Downlow. A while back we got to talking about doing a music video. We did one for a different song (which we still have on file), but when we came up with the ideas for this one, we got to work. I produced, directed, and edited it myself. I shot a little bit of it, but had a lot of help from Res, Denkym, and Rodney. All music guys who happen to be nice with a camera too, so I knew we were in good hands on that end. Thanks to Cygnet too for making sure that we didn’t get hit by trains, and to Downlow for a couple of the locations. I can go on and on about this one, but I’ll keep it short. Check for Deux Process on iTunes, check for the upcoming videos that we have in the works, and please, please, please, pass on this link and share it with all your people too. Thanks!!!

Here it is… our video for Story of My Life, featuring Young Rook, and track produced by G-Rocka and Medi.

A few weeks back I had the privilege of interviewing Teresa Espinosa from The Beat Freaks, for our show LatiNation. She dropped by to pick up DVD copies of the show, and then she showed me this new video they did. She also mentioned that she helped edit it (Don’t try to steal my job!!). If you can appreciate dope dancing, you need to watch this.

This is an old video, the date says 2007. Shock G really is one of the most slept on artists in HipHop. Straight comedy here.
